goin to St Louis...can anyone local please help me out
taking a trip to st louis next weekend. this isnt really a dg trip, but i was wondering if anyone can help direct me to something cool to check out, like dg pro shops or awesome craft breweries or anything else worth seeing
i did a quick google search and easily came up with some ideas, but im not going to have much time and will be with family that is not into DG or good beer. so...if i can only go to 1 or 2 places, where should i go? thanks |

you need to go to the nearest mall and drop off your family, then find a course!

Depending on how old your kids are I'm fairly certain Jefferson barracks or apricott have play equipment?

here is the gateway website http://gdstour.com/
i would still go even if you don't throw gateway. it's located in maryland heights, a western suburb. another thing to do is the take an anheuser busch brewery tour. it's free and you get two free beers at the end. also check out the st louis city museum. there is also the zoo which is free and the science center right next to the zoo. |

If your wife and kids can handle Civil War history, Jefferson Barracks has some great museums. The park was a military base during the Civil War.

I recommended the City Museum as well for with the family. It is all of the unsafe playground equipment for the 70s and 80s put in a skyscraper. It's unreal. Fridays and Saturdays are flashlight nights (I believe still) 5pm until midnight-ish. The rooftop is probably closed due to weather (but will save you a few bucks). The kids can climb, slide, and wandering around all kinds of things you don't see any more. Oh...and they have a bar with local brews. I cannot wait for my kid to be old enough to take him there. We take 3-4 vacations a year, NEVER seen anything like it.
city museum
