Ever feel like the disc gods are against you?

So I have a trip planned where there are great odds of losing discs, so I wanted to get some premium backups that i wouldn't mind losing, and some extra practice putters.

I ordered a couple new discs from a website that I love and have spent enough over the years to get their deepest discount. Never once have I had an issue with them.
The order was shipped, said it arrived, but never did. No note from the USPS, but the tracking # says delivered. Talked to service at the website, they said it happens with their free shipping service that sometimes the post office doesn't deliver or leave a note, and returns it to the post office to wait for you to come ask about it.
I just moved to Charlotte, and a google search has SEVEN post offices equidistant from my new house....I tried a couple of them to no success.
I'm not exactly upset at the website company, but it doesn't make me want to try this excercise again if this happens the next time. Good chunk of change straight gone.

Then I grab a couple RFF Wizards from Gateway's ebay store. They arrived today.

'Cept they're not Wizards, they're Magics....

I know Dave is great and I'm sure he'll rectify properly, but I won't have any of the discs I ordered in time for this trip.

Maybe the disc gods are saying I'm not going to lose any plastic...who knows.

Meh.

Rant complete.

Dude, that sucks but the power of your trip will probably outweigh this minor setback.

Plus, there will be someone there who really digs magics .

Yes, yes I do.

But I usually feel that way when me 50 foot put hits the chains in the center, bounces off the pole, crawls out of the basket, lands on its side, manages to gain momentum on a little burm and proceeds to roll 100 feet down a ravine filled with Poison Oak. Or maybe that is just another day at Dela.

Anyway, don't let it get you down. Have a great trip!

I don't know how it is in Charlotte, but around here there is only one PO for each Zip code. Is it possible you looked at POs other than the one that services your house?

Several, but none dedicated to DG. The selection on the shelf here can be limited unless you throw all Innova.

Wow. I figured a DG mecca like Charlotte would have a bunch of pro shops. The DG scene here sucks and we even have a couple.

Sounds like the market is there for someone to start up a new brick and mortar shop.

The PIAS in South Charlotte has a really good selection of discs and tons of used plastic (at least as of 2 years ago ...)
