Discs bent in the mail? A real problem?

How many of you have ever had this problem? What do you do about it?

I have looked at many of the previous threads, but I wasn't able to find anything other than "do not bend" written on them. Is there any way to add a stiffer material that is light so that it's harder to bend in a mailbox?

Thoughts? I don't send a lot of discs, so maybe this isn't even a real problem, but the few times I have gotten them in the mail, they have been bent into the mailbox.

A piece of cardboard would help rigidity.

Not only do I write "Do Not Bend" on the mailer, I ask the postal person to stamp it on.
Not sure if that helps, but I haven't heard of anyone saying they had gotten a bent disc from me so far.

I've never had an issue, but ever since a Westside proto I sent to ManU had some warping I've made sure to write "Fragile - Please do not bend " on all my packages. I think the helps...

I've only received a slightly warped disc a couple of times, and it set back flat with some heat applied to it. I'm not aware of any discs that I've sent having been warped on arrival, and I use bubble mailers for all discs, unless there's enough of them that I ship in a box.

Same as noted above, I always mark "Do Not Bend" on the face and back of the bubble mailer. The post office will stamp it with the "fragile" stamp upon request as well.

I've sent about 15 through the mail, all 1 at a time in bubble flat rate envelope with a piece of thick cardboard on the bottom of the disc (nearly same length/width as envelope) Haven't had a complaint.

I've been sent a couple of discs via similar style, and worked great too. The only bent one I've ever received was in a box with a bunch of others, so I'm guessing it had nothing to do with the shipping.

edit: And i never even thought of writing fragile, do not bend, etc. Never even crossed my mind.

Yes plenty of warped discs, My mailbox is not very big. You can fit a disc in there but if it is left there all day it will be warped. I solved my problem by waiting for my mailman to come and showed him a couple discs and told him that this is what he is bringing me in all these packages, after showing him a warped one and explaining to him how this happened he completely understood . Every time there is something to big to fit in instead of cramming it he know puts it on my porch

EDIT: using a box instead of envelopes is a good solution as well
