I don't know -- why would they want to support a dead technology. Oh, and the company name is mydroidsoft.

For the SQL geeks, you can take the EasyScorecard database off your phone and use SQLite to produce whatever stats you want. It's fabulous.

Being able to digitally count how many putts I average per hole has made me REALLY realize the main hole in my game.

The Pro version is definitely worth the money, IMHO.

I am absolutley not a tech guy in any way so this is obviously over my head. But are you saying that writing apps for andriod phones is more lucrative then writing apps for apple products? i am pretty sure apple stil has an abnoxiously large majority of the market share on smart phones.

Look at Apple's history. Steve Jobs, as CEO, makes Apple a viable player in the PC market. Steve Jobs steps down as CEO, and they almost go out of business. Steve Jobs comes back as CEO and restores Apple back to prominence and makes them stronger than ever. Steve Jobs dies, but Apple has a ton of new tech in their warehouse waiting to be released. Apple is still a major player. Apple empties their warehouse of all the new tech, and there's no more Steve Jobs to bail them out...

The best thing Apple did to ensure their survival is lock down their tech and "force" people to use their audio encoding format (defaulted in iTunes and the iTunes store) and make it exclusive to Apple products.

I have an iPhone and Discasaurus has been a massive upgrade over using the notepad app to just enter total strokes/hole. Huge course directory and really simple to use interface, turn landscape to view the actual 'scorecard'. I will say that it is prone to crashing every once in awhile, which can be annoying. Also, the Par totals are usually per the course scorecard, which can't be edited, so you'll be subject to some simple math if you want to roll all par 3's.

I haven't tried any other apps however, so take this with a grain of salt.

I see that but for right now and at least a few years from now they are the market. and easy scorecard pro has been out for at least a few years now. jsut seems like lots of wasted oppertunity to me.
