Me too I never buy innova online, to risky. The other companies aren't much better either. I prefer to hand pick. When I order online I feel like I'm getting stuff that has been picked through.

that is why i order from Marshall St, you can be ultra specific in what you are looking for and they will match it right. and if they are not sure they will call you for clarification. Clearwater is also another good source for the same reason....I just hate their website.

when it comes to the popular discs, you are definitely buying the picked thru stuff. which is why you should just play in or stop buy tournaments to get your discs. better selection and you're supporting the people who actually care about the sport....unlike 98% of your brick and mortars. Or if you throw more uncommon discs you don't have this as bad.

98% of brick and mortars don't care about the sport?

I doubt the number is THAT high, but a lot of the brick and mortars are gas stations/convenience stores that happen to be near a course.

There is one place I sometimes feel I get a handpicked turd whenever I order there. I don't order much I usually just drive to DD before a round since it's so close but sometimes I see something online and order from this place. I've got a GL Saint that had to be the crappiest in the box and just the other day a Roc3 that had three big gouges out of the rim and it's supposed to be brand new. It's just a thrower so I ain't going to complain but I don't think I will be ordering from them anymore.

Communicate your preferences to ANY online dealer in the Notes field. You guys act like it's not something every order should use

I agree, but I shouldn't have to include that I want a new disc to look new when it arrives. If they're packing it up and can't notice the dings all the way around the rim then what I put in the notes won't matter. They're willing to ship out less than top quality. Fairly certain it didn't happen during shipping either. The thing was bubble wrapped and in between cardboard.

I like how people complain about little scuffs and dings when they receive a shipped disc. Then they go out to the course and start smashing the disc into trees, pavement, dirt...etc.

Unless you're buying discs you NEVER intend to throw, don't complain about minor imperfections.
