I won the Intermediate division of the Black Hills Disc Golf Ice Bowl for the second straight year back on Super Saturday (day before Superbowl) after essentially taking a 4.5 month hiatus from disc golf. Also, I have won random draw doubles a few times over the last couple weeks.

I won my first non winter event in AM1 in over two years yesterday. After finishing 4th, 5th, 5th, 5th in decent sized fields over the last month I finally broke out with a hot round in the morning to set my personal best at my home course with a 48. I started the second round slow and looked like a stiff with a 6 shot lead but ironed it out as I cruised to a 49, a 13 stroke win, and what would have been a 4 stroke win in open.

I'm already being told I should move up but I think I want one more Am1 win in these Maine tourneys. I just qualified for the championships as Am1 so it is a good opportunity to move up on a trial bassis but maybe still play the championships in Am1 if I don't qualify in pro. I haven't really made up my mind yet. Leaving 100 bucks on the table definitely gets you thinking.

To make a great day better I stayed after and won doubles for an extra ten bucks. The last three holes the heavens opened up and it was in insane downpour to end a memorable day.

Austin needs to post here about his streak of Pro wins over 1000+ rated players including the Schweb. Until he does you guys will have to deal with my pathetic list.

10 PDGA victories so far this year. 3 were Masters and 7 were Grandmasters.

First Int win of the year: http://www.pdga.com/tournament_results/100390

Then I moved up.

First Adv win of the year: http://www.pdga.com/tournament_results/100845 <-- 1051 rated round. Scoring error the first round put me back.

Then I moved up.

First Open win of the year: Nah just kidding not yet.

Tied for first at the Queen City Ams this weekend. Got second after a playoff. Woulda been first if my stupid Ibex hadn't chained out on a 335' ace

Oh well, average tourney rating of 941 isn't bad for my 4th PDGA event and maybe 10th tourney ever.

First PDGA win!!

On the 1-year anniversary of my first tournament ever, I won Recreation Division against 28 others at the Jared Hilton Memorial in Lebanon, MO. My game has progressed to where I can play intermediate now, but I wanted to get my first win under my belt before moving up. I'd have place 4th in intermediate.

As it it, I was DOWN 3 with one hole to play! I made the easy par 3 and the guy really choked and 3-putt from 30 feet for a 6... I won on the 3rd playoff hole to grab the $147 first place voucher. Finally broke through after leading several tournaments after round one and failing to close the deal.

I'm happy the game is rounding into shape heading into AM Worlds next week...

Jared Hilton Memorial

Was tied for 1st in am1 at big horn ridge yesterday. Lost the playoff when the other guy birdied hole 3 but that worked out better because he got one of those Costco baskets and I got a sick $120 pair of black diamond back country ski poles! Can't wait for winter!
