2013, Emporia, will fill? How many spots are there, compared to all the pre-Charlotte Worlds that didn't fill?

I hope it does. I believe it will be well-attended, and don't think the payout plan will make much difference. But filling is a tall order, anywhere.

I have a question....

I recieved an invite and qualified by points. On the players list I'm qualified for MG1 (advanced grandmasters) but my points came from other divisions.

As long as I have the points it doesn't matter, correct?

Correct, other than you can currently only register for MG1 and have to wait a month if you wanted to enter MM1 or MA1 instead.

From the thread "Am Worlds in Emporia will be a trophy-only tournament":

Dave242, etc.,
so it appears Emporia will be capped at 504.
2012 - Charlotte - 706
2011 - Rochester, NY - 444
2010 - Marion, OH - 504
2009 - Kansas City - 595 (Emporia is 90 miles from KC)
2008 - Kalamazoo - 568

So only 1, 2011, Rochester, NY would not have 'filled' by the 504 mark. All of the others would have filed if capped at 504.

excellent way to ensure a sell out is to have less spots available to sell...

If I was 19 in the 2012 calender year and will turn 20 before World's does it make me ineligible to compete in Junior 1?

EDIT: Oh never mind, I needed 150 points.
