Form critique please
Here are some backhand drives. Discs used are Destroyers and then Teebirds. Throwing hyzer and flat shots here. My average distance is about 300 ft. ...max about 360 ft. on a good day. My strength has always been control and accuracy..but now I'm searching for more distance. I've read everything about technique I can find...I've watched every YouTube video in existence on the subject...watched countless hours of pros, studying what they do. Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks. I knew I'd screw something up...my first youtube post. Hopefully it works now.

Stay off the rear heel and get more athletic and over top the disc with your body. Turn your hips and shoulders back and forth more rather than tipping them over. Lead with the hips to whip your arm and get loose and drop your right shoulder in the backswing.

I really appreciate the help. Just a few questions.... 1) I see what you mean by tipping over my hips and shoulders, is there anything else specific I should focus on to stop myself from doing this? What exactly do you mean by turning my hips/shoulders back and forth? Just more twisting of my torso relative to my legs or do I need to turn my entire body away from the target more? 2) When dropping my right shoulder in the backswing...should I pull through with it still dropped?... or should it come back up by the time I release?

You need to turn the hips and shoulders away from the target much further in the backswing. Your balance will have to change to do that, just keep your weight centered/balanced between your feet, and focus more on hip rotation for more whip.
The shoulder rotational plane depends on the angle you want to release(it should also match the hip plane). There are some variances from different throwers. I tend to use a hyzer plane for all shots other than rollers, so my right shoulder drops/hangs loose/taut into the backswing. Then the shoulder will rotate back through up the same plane, or it may change a little depending on the shot I want to torque it off plane. Check out the vids in this thread, especially the 1st one and the rest: http://www.dgcoursereview.com/forums...ad.php?t=69315

I've been putting some of these tips to good use in some field practice the last couple of days. Just the part about moving my shoulders/hips back and forth has been a breakthrough already. It's like I've never even tapped into the power coming from extra movement from my shoulders....I put one out to 370ft yesterday (I google earthed it to check). Of course my timing and balance is off...I'm spraying them all over the place...but I can feel my distance potential has increased. I also noticed that my steps in my x-step are very small compared to pro's form I've been studying...so I'm focusing on that as well and it definitely is generating more power from my legs. I've just got to dial in my release point/balance/timing. I'll get video up soon to show what I've been working on.
