St. Patty's HOD: Jim Warner Memorial in Appling, GA

We've got a winner today, folks:

Jim Warner Memorial in Appling, GA
Course Rating: 4.26, 19 reviews

Hole 15: 690 ft
The distance doesn't tell the whole story on this bad boy, this hole is something else. It's long, sweeping dogleg right that plays downhill off the tee to a spot where you cross the creek, then continues to the right going up hill, then up hill some more. This one can really be demoralizing.

Hole 15, Tee:

Hole 15, Basket to Tee:

Course Map:
Not imbedded because it displays huge.

If you've never visited the IDGC, you're missing something.

This was my 3rd course that day, on day two of 9 day roadtrip. Started drizzling towards the end of my morning round on Steady Ed. Played Warner pretty much in the rain. It started pouring, so grabbed a bite to eat until it blew over. Returned to play a really wet Warner.

I threw a DX Leo off the tee, didn't quite get to the creek, then a 150 Z-Storm enough times to get up the hill to where I could putt. I might do it differently now, but that's how I played it when it kicked my butt.

Vision straight through to start...
Then probably Anode till I'm there.

If I got a 4 on this hole it would be a minor miracle.

Glide off the tee, depending on the distance that was left, either a tangent or an Ion

Usually just throw a wizard past the little creek, tomahawk or wizard upshot, wizard upshot, tap in... Getting greedy off of the tee doesn't help much due to the elevation.

Leopard, Cro, Anode. I'm not too sure I'd manage to make par.
