Try keeping his weight more centered on reachback, so his head is moving toward the target more upright. It should be more turning back with the hips, not leaning/crouching back. He is overextended his posture and twisted his spine too much against the hips. It will feel way different in balance. You can search for a kid named Forrest(he won worlds) has some vids on here or youtube to compare better.
