Short DG Stories

Chains

Sweat drips

Muscles tense, hips turn, arms swing

Elbow bends, fingers grip

Disc flies, emotions rise

Flight, gliding towards the ground

Basket sits, waiting to catch

Plastic meets metal, spits it out.

Earth 2247 AD. 2 Archaeologists are sifting through some debris in an area once believed to have been a pond at a public park. Beside them is stack of plastic objects. A young intern turns to a colleague and says "That Ken Climo sure made some lousy plates. No wonder people threw them away."

Or, Antiques Spaceshow sees a DX Teebird and the chap on there says, "This particular object tended to have a strange property on the planet earth where it originated. It seems that the inhabitants would coil their bodies and swiftly uncoil to release this. It would then travel in a strange trajectory which they called "more stable" which is technically a misnomer because to be stable is tantamount to not wobbling, so stability really had nothing to do with the trajectory. Basically, it was not gyometrically balanced causing the rotation of the release to create a deviation from its original path. This specimen is unusually well preserved and I would actually give this a 10/10 on what they called the "Sleepy Scale," possibly an allusion to the tired state in which this activity left them. In today's market, I would expect a collector to pay anywhere from 20-30,000,000 BHUs (Black Hole Units). It's actually quite an incredible find."

"Wow, my dad told me that his grandfather just threw these things for fun, so I thought it was more like an identity disc from the grid."
