Who says we're not drinking out of them?

Dogs aside, most Ultimate players have drank a lid filled with 4 beers.

I lick my fingers before throws. Worries me when I set for a shot, lick, grip, then change my mind and grab a new disc...

BPA, if it's even in discs at all, isn't going to cause you any problems if you aren't using your discs as dinnerware. Plus, if you're male it's not going to do much to you even then. BPA was originally designed as a synthetic Estrogen replacement.. which ended up not working as intended (it causes birth defects). But it was later discovered that it worked pretty well for making plastic rigid.

(Not an expert)

It is/was used in the production of polycarbonate plastics (think hard Nalgene bottles):

PC is pretty hard, relatively inflexible stuff I think. Discs are much softer, so I don't think they're made of PC, but I really don't know. I always thought they were some sort of polyurethane, but I couldn't tell you where I heard that.

I disagree based on how many discs end up in the water. While it might not immediately cause you any harm, I definitely would like to avoid drinking any of that if possible.

Is that 12 oz. beers? Because I have always heard you can fit three pints in an Ultimate lid...

3 Pints or 4-12oz Cans yeah.

Pretty much every competitive Ultimate player has done it at least once (some many times).
