Makes sense to me. Here is the original course he designed.

Look like these could handle masses of Disc Golf disciples better:

Probably a little bias but Greater Cincinnati gets my vote......

Idlewild, Mt. Airy (home of The Nati Disc Golf), Lincoln Ridge, Osage Grove, William Harbin, AJ Jolly, Gulley, Monroe, plus another 20+ courses all within 30 minutes of downtown Cincy

Having moved to Charlotte for DG, Charlotte gets my thumbs up (particularly if including Brackett's Bluff). Finally someone mentioned Blockhouse (Sunnyside and Darkside)! Combining them with Hawk Hollow and Loriella (longs) pushes the Spotsylvania (VA) close to the top. Hawk Hollow, although not heavily played (private, working farm--thanks John Biscoe), is close to being one of the best challenges anywhere.

Having one 'Mecca' would royally suck unless you lived near it. Thank our lucky stars there are several options.

If we're going down the "literal definition of Mecca" road....

Isn't the Rochester FDO the oldest disc golf tourney? Meaning, the first time DG wasn't just an event at a larger frisbee comp, but it's own stand-alone event? IDK, I'm seriously curious...

According to my Buzzz with the 2011 RFDO stamp, this year's will be the 40th anniversary??!!
