I totally would, if I was closer and didn't already have a tourney that weekend. There's an unsanctioned doubles tourney in NC this summer... 8 courses in one day: http://www.thegreat8.com

There have been several event formats over the years for the weekend with the longest daylight. First one I've seen sanctioned. Daylight is even a bit longer in the northern U.S. and we used to have the Mad Dog event where your group tried to play as many different holes in one day around the Twin Cities before dark.

The big thing with this Vegas event is that it's a likely possibility that the heat for the day could be as high as 110+, and we'll be playing two rounds of 33 and one of 34 for the day. It's going to be a very long day. Hopefully I can find a stroller with a seat and an Umbrella holder for the day. It's going to be a very neat experience that may suck the day of.

I wish I was playing this event! Was seriously considering it. Sounds like fun, and would love to host something like this in New Mexico too.

Are all the rounds at the same course? With the Great 8 you have to drive to all 8 which is over 100 miles and it's timed, so people are legit running that ****.

Looks like fun, I might have to try to make it out there, maybe squeeze in a trip up to the mountain course since that's the only one in the Vegas area I haven't played yet.

Theres a small group of us looking at potentially making Friday about the course on Mt Charleston, and then playing the event Saturday.

Cool, we have Fridays off, if I can make it happen I'll let you know (if you don't mind a little extra company).
