^^^I was just trying to show people how well they work, not rub it in!

Now I just need to remember to be respectful of my neighbors. It is so tempting to go out there right now and practice, I sure need it.

zip tie a towel around the pole (including where the ring joins all the chains on the bottom) and she'll be quiet enough to practice inside.. with the lights off (?)

I've had two email conversations with Aldi corporate offices and they're reply is basically, "These items are part of our "Weekly Special Buy" program. They will only be in stock about once a year. Many stores still have a respectable quantity of these in stock at this time. Please consider subscribing to our weekly newsletter email so that you will know when they become available again."

Thank you Feezer for the picture, that's what they look like in action The part the picture doesn't show is how that same illumination carries at a great distance and you can see them just as easily at 400+' as you can there.

Ultimate Basket Light

The Aldi's in West Des Moines still has a dozen left after I bought 10 last night - $7.99 + tax.

Just purchased a few, and mine did not work. When I rotated the batteries, the LED's would flicker on. So I folded up some aluminum foil, and shoved it behind each + terminal contact. Now they work.

Thank you for the referral!!

They work OKAY for disc golf purposes

I found that they are bright and was able to rig it up to stay on my Innova Disccatcher Traveler at home. Thats where the convenience ends. 75% of the time I hit chains the light would flicker or turn off altogether. The internals of this thing aren't very sturdy.

It does work excellent on my umbrella however

I would Imagine on a sturdier basket there wouldn't be near the movement that would cause this issue. Also it seems mounted pretty low so could easily get some impact. May just not be optimal on the traveler basket, but I still wish I had your basket! Would love to have one for camping trips.

Yeah I might try to mount it a little higher. It is certainly a functional light. The basket is only $109 at Academy Sports and Outdoors. Everywhere else was atleast $129

Thanks for the heads up. I have a couple I have built for my yard but really want a simple one to pack up to play around with when relaxing at campgrounds or at my camp.
