How much of the Amateur entry fee should go to the Pro purse?

Just wondering what the community thinks as a whole. I have really appreciated reading opinions on the So many divisions! thread, but it's hard to get a consensus.

Consider the tournament to be B/C Tier, not a fundraiser, with up to 75 participants (no limit on # players per division).

Feel free to discuss below or in the other thread!

none directly- however, the markup on am prizes and players packs belongs to the td/club to do with as they see fit.

I agree. Unless the pros are offering some entertainment value, or some other service, like a clinic, for the registered amateurs, why should the pros be paid out of their pockets? If you have control of access to the course, and have the ability to charge admission for spectators, then put that towards the pro purse, but there is no reason to ask other participants in the event, who are most likely on the other side of the course, focusing on their own game instead of deriving any pleasure from proximity to the pros, to fluff the payout pool.

Yup, i've said before that ams entry should at least partially go to pro purse to attract more pros, which attracts more ams, which...you get the picture. But it doesn't need to be direct, club can say "We are putting up $500 for pro purse"....and then take that money out of profits from the discounts on am payouts, players packs, etc. so in a long winded answer....what he said
