A 170 Gl is on the light and more under stable side of the Fuse world. A heavier Opto could suit you perfectly. It just depends on how much of that gentle fade you want.

Haven't thrown the Shark3 but I've seen and held it, very much has a buzzz type wing and feel with a slight, and I mean very slight micro-bead.

I started with a heavy GL Fuse, I lost it and replaced with a 169 GL Fuse I was able to get from a buddy, didn't at all like the lighter weight and now I throw 174 Opto Fuse that is just money in the low power mid shot. With right power and angle the disc is very responsive.

I've thrown Opto Cores as well and GL Cores. I liked the feel of the GL better, the Opto just felt like I was throwing a brick. Nothing against the disc or the plastic but it just didn't click for me like the GL did. However, as my form and snap improved I found the Core wasn't HSS enough for me and wound up back with the Buzzz. After two years of bouncing around the work horse mid world I went right back to the first mid I threw and can't for the life of me figure out why I ever put it down.

Axis feels similar. Get a 175+ Neutron and it'll be dead straight with a touch of fade. They make a Buzz look a lot less straight than its known for.

I agree with this. I carry a Fuze and Axis. A Roc feels nothing like a fuse to me. I can't throw a Roc at all because of how it fits in my hand, yet the Fuze and Axis are great for me.

No one said Mace? I would've said fugitive or warship but you said you tried the warship and it wasn't overstable enough. Try the mace. If you like it but not the shape of the rim then try a Pain.
