Ours is capped @ 300 and has been there for a little bit.

The Ontario party tour has a rolling pot and it was hit on the 4th stop of the summer and cashed out close to 1400 bucks.

We have a different pot for three different days, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sunday Doubles. Sunday Dubs was started just over a year ago and hasn't been hit yet, it's sitting somewhere around $300

I hit it for 84 last month. I've seen it up to 170 but not higher. Small course.

We currently have 2 ace pots capped at $750, and are building up the 3rd. If you hit an ace, you only get 1 pot. Turn out has has improved friday nights, to say the least.

Ours caps at $400, and then the next pot is the reserve. The reserves cap at half that, $200, so hopefully we can keep it nice even after the first one is hit.

The Golden Gate weekly pot was hit 2 weeks ago for $842, and last year one was $1100. We get anywhere from 30 to 90 players on our Sunday morning rolling starts. The bigger the pot, the more players come out of the woodwork.

interesting that some clubs don't allow first timers(out of towners) to win the ace pot. doesn't everyone have the same number of throws off the tees? I guess i don't understand the concept behind the acepot very well.

I also wonder if you ace in doubles league do you share it?

You know how some of us only play the lottery when it gets really high? Well some players treat other clubs ace pots in much the same manner. I don't think its unreasonable for a club that has a core group of locals that show up week after week want to protect an ace pot that to a great degree has been built by those people from a one timer who shows up solely to attempt to take it, and doesn't come back if he succeeds.

We don't exclude such people from our pot, but unless they buy a club bag tag, they only take half of what someone with a bag tag takes for an ace.

There's no hard and fast rule on that sort of thing. Sort of depends on local tradition.

TBD between you and your partner before the round starts. Typically it's 50/50 split, while donating $50 to the other team. Sometimes you'll get a 60/40, but it's rare. I don't think I have ever seen anyone not agree to some type of split.
