Glad a couple people chimed in for Mountain Pride. I haven't had the chance to play La Mirada yet, but Mountain Pride is definitely a fun course. Plus, there are shorts and longs for most holes if you have time for two rounds.

One other consideration, though: weather. I imagine it would be marginally more hot at Mountain Pride than La Mirada, so check before you go.

It will probably be at least 10 degrees hotter at MP, good point.

Hmm... Ok.. Well now I am not sure which way to go... I am going on August 2nd... Might try to sneak in Goat Hill on the same day if I go the La Mirada route!

But if anyone wants to play Sky High that morning, I think I would be down for that too!

Make Sky High your priority if possible, best course in SoCal by far.

Agreed. Goat Hill is also pretty damn long, so I don't know how much other time you would have to play. There are a couple other good courses down here if you're gonna go that far south.

But yeah, Sky High.

The nice thing about Mountain Pride is that you only have to worry about pedestrians on maybe 2 holes. However, I have never seen the sports fields in use while I was playing.

La Mirada can get a little crowded if your drives are as unpredictable as mine. Ha

Very true. I played there on a Saturday in June, from about noon to 4, and it was dead.
