Prodigy players part owners?

It is my understanding from some other random posts that Prodigy managed to snag so many top players by offering them part ownership. Can anyone point me to some facts to back this up, and any details on the deals? Speculation is welcome as well, but facts would be nice. I imagine this info may be buried in another Prodigy thread somewhere, so my apologies if I am starting a useless thread. I won't apologize about the alliteration.

From what I understand, it has never been confirmed as fact. It would make sense, but those who would know for certain (i.e. Prodigy team members) have never stated publicly. Nor do they need to as from what I understand it is a private company.

From their about page:

"Prodigy Disc is a unique company founded by a team of World Champion disc golfers..."

Sure seems like the use of the word founded makes it seem like they own it.

I'm not in the know at all, but what seems to be happening to me is they are running Prodigy like a startup company and the Pros are getting "stock options".

I remember several of the team members including bits of info about part ownership of the company when they announced they were leaving their current sponsors to play for prodigy. Will S said something like he's making this decision because it will benefit him after his playing days are over. Most of the players comments I read were Facebook updates.
