Tourney Advice for this weekend...Chime in!
Do I take the Sparkle Aftershock or do I not take the Sparkle Aftershock?
I have a tourney Saturday....Here are my mids going into the round. You tell me what I need to add or remove in your opion. 176 FlX Drone (overstable reliable hooker) 172 R-Pro Cro (we havn't bonded too much yet) 180 DX Flat Top Roc (Dead straight, if I let go early or late forget about it) 177 Star San Marino Roc (Glides much more than Flat Top, domey, can throw floater turnovers with it) 164 RW-Pro Roc (Hyzer flip this SOB, it goes the distance) 180 Star Stingray (hooks right and stays that way, not leaving my bag) -Those are in my bag now. On deck may I introduce: 170 Sparkle Aftershock (never thrown, I think the weight may be good for shorter straight hucks?) 172 R-Pro Ontario Roc (thrown once or twice seems a bit flippy depending on how thrown) 176 ESP Buzzz (I threw it for a bit, its out now, seemed like an alternative to my Flatty Roc) 168 DX Stingray (never thrown, compare this to my 180 sting ray) What would you take into battle and why?

Wow, you throw a lot of mids. Play to your strengths, but I behoove you to pick a stable go-to mid (I suggest your DX flattop Roc or ESP Buzzz) and throw the bejeezus out of it.

should never need more than 2 mids.

I think 3 is gracious plenty, one stable mid for most shots, an understable for special annys, and a beefy meathook for windy days and get out of trouble spikes.

How's that work if you lose your 2 mids? I forgot who I was talking to, I'm sure you'd just scurry up a tree and find somebody else's disc to use.

I have about 12 discs in my main compartment depending on the day.
Now I am going to be out there all day, and there are water hazards. 12 discs...that could be 6 mids and 6 drivers or 3 mids and 9 drivers. I'm well aware that 12 may not be necessary. I don't need 9 drivers, so here come a balanced amount of mids. You guys have brought up some good points though. I have to keep Drone and Stingray, Super overstable and super understable for specialty shots. And in between I guess should be 2 others, so 4 total. Maybe my Flatty Roc, and a Wasp I forgot to mention I have coming tomorrow. (but do I wanna leave out my floating gliding roc? sigh.......) I know I'm overthinking this, but I think I'll take a couple out before I leave home Saturday morning.

Going into an event I would take what I'm comfortable with. I wouldn't take the Cro (since you guys havn't bonded much) and I sure wouldn't add something I havn't thrown yet. If you take the molds you are comfortable with you won't have the option of overthinking it during the event. The less stuff on your mind the better if not you risk adding strokes.

I don't understand the point of a Cro in R-pro anyway, seems like you'd want to keep your overstable-stable mids from getting flippy.
