There's a lot of strategy in putting together a team. Do you go with 2 high-rated players and 2 low-rated players, or 4 balanced, 925-950 players?

We'll have further strategy in how you pair players for the different formats.

A quick question for team play like this (as it intrigues me)

With the formats as they are, are playing groups (hole assignments, etc) 4 players, or 8 players?
The four player team format implies that all four would be together. Are the other formats played with playing groups entirely of one team only?, or spread over two adjacent hole assignments, etc?

Foursomes. In rounds 1 & 3, there are two doubles pairs on each hole, from different teams.

Round 4 is an eightsome, with entire teams playing together, two teams on a card. But it's alternate/best shot, so it plays as fast, or faster, than a foursome playing singles.

Is the alternate pad for #2 ready yet? I know there was some chit chat about it back in the spring...

Perfect clarification.

I was wondering how much the format might lead to reliance on an honor system. Good to see some checks built in. works for me.

We haven't started construction yet on the new alternate 2 tee. It's a winter project.

The only likely major change since the Stoney Hill Challenge will be a new #10 on the Quartz layout. "Likely", because we haven't done it yet, but it's just building a teepad.

We have cut some trees to make 1C, 1D, and 2 a little easier.

As Chris says, major work is a winter project, when there's no mowing, weedeating, or spraying to do, and it's not sizzling hot outside.

Makes perfect sense. We've got 3 committed to the event right now, and we're trying to find a 4th!

Looks like Proputt may not be there. Brent has a wedding that he needs to attend, and my wife wanted to go to my parents for Pumpkinfest that weekend. Of course, it's not final yet.
