Where are you money from? Putting

What can't you miss and what do you need to hit to score well?
Trying to get a consensus as to what's reasonable and set a goal.

I'm currently not money from anywhere for the record. 5-10 ft. Haha

I'm gonna work hard at not missing anything x distance or less and try to be 50-50 up to x distance?

Thoughts or tips?

I don't have a definitive style per se when it comes to putting.
I would best describe myself as a push putter that likes to lay up.
If I make a 10 to 15 or 20 foot putt. most likely it traveled 1 to 3 ft to it's left.
I do most of my practice playing catch with my kids and it keeps me around the basket.

From the Champ himself:

"Here are some general putting goals Iíve set up for any player: 15 footers Ė you need to hit every one. 20 footers you need to hit 80%. 25 footers Ė you need to hit more than half. And try and make at least half of your 30 footers. Make anything outside 30 feet and itís a bonus whether youíre a pro or an am."

There's more on putting. Go to kenclimo.com and click "how to".

Edit Bump

No edit option was available so double post.
I think I may have worded that terribly and confused people?

I am actually asking what distances other people are consistently making putts from? People are coming into the thread but not answering the question even though it's the Title of the thread? Weird
Is it not relevent or did I confuse. Stupid question maybe?
Hmmmnn

Awesome. Thanks
So can I draw the conclusion that being money from outside 30 while maintaining all those other goals ,(And quality throws obviously), makes you Elite. Like McBeth, WySocki, LaCastro? Those guys seem like they range 30-50 footers at almost 25-50%.

Make the ones you mentioned and I could manage to not embarrass myself At a Tournament level? Maybe even compete If I throw well, stay out of trouble and get hot? In theory anyway?

I'd say inside the circle is my comfort zone. Making 90-100% when looking back to tourneys and weeklies this summer. Strange thing is, I suck when it comes to casual rounds or practicing. Guys often call me a cheater when they see me putting before the round maybe 50% and everything when there's something on stake lol(won so many sidebets ha). And I don't even have any special routine and I take the same 3-5 secs to make the putt every time(except trickiest stances).

I make all of my 10 footers and 90% at 15. After 15 I struggle some but I've only been playing since mid June. I don't have a practice basket for home but I do use an old barstool, it has helped me quite a lot

I don't miss much inside the circle. Circles edge is my weakness right now, but I think its just a mental block. I've started doing a Ulibarri style step through putt in the 35' range. I'm close to hitting 50% of these.

i should probably check, but i know i'm amazed at how short a distance 10 yards is every time i get on the football field. seems like i should be money inside the circle, but i'm probably not. 20 and in is a gimme, but after that i dunno. i'll get the tape measure tonight.

Don't set a goal based on performance. Accomplishing it may be a nice achievement, but it also may give you a sense of being "done."

The fact is, putting can always be improved. And you should never stop practicing putting. It's the easiest skill to practice and is the most valuable to your game.

A better goal would be something like: take 50 practice putts a day, 4 days a week for the next month.

If you keep up with that objective, I guarantee your putting will improve.
