Brass things?

I met some dudes on the course that had these brass things with a number on it. They said they had something to do with betting. Instead of playing for a disc they had these brass things. Anyone else heard of or know about these? Whilst conducting a Google search I stumbled upon this. I didn't know Innova was into this.

I'm willing to bet that they were bag tags. Bag tags are made out of many different materials, brass, aluminum, steel, plastic, wood, even glass around where I live. They are usually sold through the local disc golf club / organization. There are usually new tags every year, and the people who own them play what are commonly refered to as tag rounds. Every player with a tag will put their tag in at the beginning of a round. The player with the lowest score will take home the lowest tag, and so on.

And I have no idea what the things you found from Better Homes and Gardens have to do with disc golf. I assume they just put that tag on there to catch more people looking for discs. As far as I can tell the thing you linked to is a toilet paper holder, and defiantly not made by Innova Discs.

Right on. I see how those would work. As far as the website goes, I'm sure you're correct about the "tag" just to get more views. Thought it was funny. Thanks for explaining the tags!

Also, I realized I didn't help much in my post, so I went and found some.

If you'd like more information here are a good amount of threads explaining what Bag Tags are and ideas for making them.

I just like to help. And I remember Bag Tags were one of the first things I started questioning, and I remembered a lot of good things, however you got it right away and gave him the general answers.

Thanks for explaining what those are. I've read bag tags on here, but I didn't realize they were something you actually used. Thought it was more about having dangly things on your bag. Status thing. lol

some are. If you buy the personal tag it's used for letting people know who you are on the site.

If you get the travel tag it's for meeting people and traded, They do two swappers, and top swapped tag also. It's a lot of fun, and I think i've done it 4 years now. Met a bunch of people and traded a lot of tags.
