What do you mean disc golf has died out in Charlotte? Hasn't the sport exploded?

The Charlotte Disc Golf Club (mainly at their Saturday singles play but at other club events) offers a large selection of Innova and Dynamic Discs. Profits go to maintaining 14+ courses in our little nook of DG heaven.

Grayson is the biggest skatepark around. It's not too far from Kilborne/Eastway/Sugaw, or at least sorta on that side of town. There used to be one on Shamrock at a church (I think) not too far from Grayson, and kinda towards Eastway from Grayson. Google doesn't seem to know about it, so it may not exist any longer. I just remember the ramps were blue, and it was referred to as "The Blue Ramps".

I did just run across this which has a map you could compare to the course locations, if that helps.

And the track at Hornet's Nest is just that, a BMX racing track, and nothing else.

Oh, and Alpine Ski Center is great.

Skatepark? No, but baaack in the late eighties/early nineties I used to skate a great half at Wilson. Pool & steel coping, steel faced, channel, extension, eleven tall with a foot and a half of vert. We had to squeegee it in the morning due to the dew and it got hot as a son of a b, but a great ramp and scene.
