How does this work?

I don't know how it works, but since I have lost 50lbs, my driving distance has improved 40-70ft, and I am a lot more accurate with my throwing that I used to be. Anyone else had something like this happen?

If you get rid of the extra weight, you can put more of the force that had previously been used to move your torso into moving your extremities and from there on the disc. Also, you should be more flexible which should help your reach back as well as the other athletic aspects of this (or any sport) in general. I imagine you will also find that you can play longer with less fatigue than you could before you lost the weight.

You are right about all that. Also, in the past, after a day of disc golf my legs and feet would be killing me. Now, I feel great after playing all day, and I don't feel as tired at the end of the day. Its a great feeling. I want to lose at least another 30lbs.

Cheers to your weight loss! The more fit you are, the more benefits you will see. Not just your golf game but across all aspects of your life! Great motivation for me to keep at it!

Here are some before and after pics I have on my facebook page. The first pic, was taken at a disc golf class I put on at the local library. That is me standing up in the white shirt. Taken a few years ago, and the next picture was taken a week ago
