Frustrated

Took a four day weekend last week to prepare for the Hall of Chains, the biggest tourney they hold at my home course. I had planned for this to be my first PDGA sanctioned tourney, and first round with my new PDGA #.

I hope you guys liked the slam dunk at the end of the hooks hideaway video, because doing it I broke my right middle finger for the fourth time.

Tourney is in two days and I still can't throw full power without pain. I've accepted I have to sit this one out.

What makes it even better is I plan to move, so this was probably my last chance to throw the HoC.

Dammit.

I've had a total of 17 finger breaks, including my right thumb twice (and fractured once) and my index finger twice, including the middle finger four times. My knuckle looks terrible. Skateboarding.....

Sucks. I finally feel that competitive drive. I felt so focused and ready to compete and dominate. Now I have to wait.....

find some good stuff to take the pain away and play.

on a serious note- in the long run though its probably better you chose not to play so you dont further damage your finger

Yep, skating and hockey has broken many of my fingers and thumbs. My clavicles look like a mountain range from getting broken from skiing and snowboarding.

It sucks, I feel for you. Find a good bottle of scotch.

You can still flip people off though, right? Lets focus on what's important here.

Sorry to hear. I am too familiar with having to sit back and not enjoy what you love due to injuries but it is important you keep the end in mind. Playing DG till you are six feet deep. Hang in there!
