Ya, I'm pretty clueless, since I don't play in tournaments. I'm just expecting to be +10 more than usual once I do. Can someone registered as a Pro, enter as an Am, or is that not possible? You message says it is, but might be a typo.

I'm sure I'm clueless as to his secret too. Just a casual observer here, making guesses for fun.

Pretty sure you can be registered Pro & still play Am if your rating is below 970. My buddy is registered Pro but played Adv at Bowling Green

According to the PDGA, a Pro can play Am for points. In Mike's case, I would either play Pro and baby the finger for the experience, or skip out entirely.

Something went wrong. Please make sure you added the video correctly. Click here to see how YouTube videos should be embedded. There could also be a technical issue that's not your fault. Click here to view the video on YouTube's site. If this link doesn't work, you did something wrong.

I've played tournies before, just not a sanctioned one, and I've never had a rated round. So I was kinda pumped to shoot really well and start out with an awesome rating.

Part of me still wants to try, especially with the big payout for pros...just don't want to wreck my finger any more than I already have. Tempted to post a picture of it hahah, its ugly.

Regarding divisions, I have no interest in playing in anything but open in any tourney I play.

If you're already paid Mike, go play, just take it easy. The experience of playing MPO in a sanctioned event is valuable. Your rating might not be great to start, but it's one tourney. You'll make up for it in subsequent tourneys.

I haven't pre-refistered or anything, I've never heard of a tourney around here filling up, so I can go either way still.
