Disc Golf Books

I'm surprised that there in not more literature on the sport of disc golf. I would love to see a Pharmer's Almanac-style book that details the history of every disc with profiles, flight charts, available plastics, years of production, ect. The Ultimate Guide to Disc Golf. Does anybody know if something like this is in the works?

That would be nice to see. But in this age of technology, it would be outdated quickly.

Your best bet is probably the inFlight Guide.

It would be outdated quickly yet newer editions could come out every year. inFlight is an awesome resource but I'd like more extensive history of plastic blends, mold history, tournament winners, ect. I think it could work.

That wouldn't be like a Farmer's Almanac, and nowhere near a "History of DG", but more like a sports card value guide. I'd rather have a course guide, but we add so many new courses a year, even in just a small region like the NW, that it seems unfeasible to me.

I simply don't think it's feasible to stay current with any aspect of this sport in hard copy.

That book already exists. It's just in digital form, and it's a bit difficult to search, but it's home is dgcoursereview.com.

I pitched a book idea a few years ago to a few publishers but didn't get anywhere.

Scott Stokley has a book about playing disc golf. It wasn't ground breaking info, but it was an interesting read.
