Breaking my own rule today. 12º (wind chill -5)...going for a couple morning solo rounds. I have to try out these MVP's that got here last Friday!

I've played plenty of rounds in the past with the wind chill below zero, but those were all winter league rounds. I don't think I'd do a casual round if it was even close to that cold. Lately, if I had time to get out and play before dark, I'd go in just about any temperature. It hasn't been that cold here yet.

The Amp was nice...good turnover disc. Just need to get used to it. The Ion..meh. I think the Judge covers that spot in my bag, but we'll see. Didn't get to throw the Valk...too windy.

The Wedge, on the other hand, rocks. I've been searching for a disc to fill that short turnover slot, and this thing is money. I've been throwing short FH's on those shots, but might not be any more!

The coldest I played was 19 degrees. It was fun, but I'm not in a hurry to do that again.

For me, it really all depends on the wind. Ill play below zero no problem, ill just be prepared with extra layers. But the Wind can really make it miserable. So, if the wind is +15mph and below 20 degrees… ill pass.

It's 19 and 4 mph wind. Leaving in a few minutes. Can't be picky this time of the year.

The Turkey Bowl is tomorrow at 8:45. Highs in the low 20s with 10-15 mph winds. And there's at least 6" of snow on the ground.

Sounds ideal.
