What would you recommend my friend

Hey guys my buddy needs a midrange because as of right now he only has fairways and high speed drivers. He's a strong kid and turns over almost every disc he throws. I was talking to him about getting an over stable mid, and I'm just curious as to what you guys would recommend. He can throw a boss about 305 but really rips his archon, close to 350

MVP Axis.

You can rip it flat and it won't turn. It'll hold a hyzer, and anny line. Watch Mike C's videos, to see how the Axis flies.

BTW, if he's turning over almost every disc he throws, he has form issues. It's not that he's "strong."

Edit: You don't need an arm like Mike C's to get the Axis to perform well. It's a great disc for any skill level.

FLX Drone, he sounds like me i turn over a lot of discs and i use a flx drone and that has been my go to disc, cause if he throws it normal then it will hyzer back great, and if he turns it over like i do then it will go dead straight with little fade at end.

1. If he's throwing a Boss 305', he shouldn't be throwing a Boss.
2. If he's throwing a Boss 305', and turning discs over, he has major form issues.

It sounds like he throws all arm. And just about any mid he tries will turn over on him. And honestly, a mid likely won't be much help for him on the course.

A Comet is a good option to try to break bad habits with. But unless he's willing to put in some time in the field and really work on improving, he'll just get frustrated and go back to throwing only drivers.

A Drone will be the most successful option for him, but it will only reinforce the bad habits he already has. A Roc or Wasp may be a good balance of overstable enough to conceal some of his form flaws and keep him from being frustrated without a huge fade at the end.

Sounds like he needs to learn to throw some understable stuff. Comet will work but a star stingray can be thrown more like a driver. He should be able to throw it as far as his Boss with a little practice.

Like most have said before...the Boss shouldn't only be going 300 and if it's flipping at that speed, it's a form problem. OAT would be my guess.

Back to the OP, I'd suggest a Fuse. It'll show him he has form issues and when he gets it corrected....it's a great understable mid (then a OS mid like a Wasp is what I'd suggest).

Definitely give him an understable mid so he can learn to fix his form. He should be able to throw fairway drivers past 300 without flipping them right over. Fuse and Comet are both great choices. Also tell him to start driving with his putter, if he can learn to get a clean release there he will be much better off than buying something overstable to hide his form flaws.

Get this man an MVP Tangent. (or axis)

He will learn to throw better with it, very neutral, true neutral.

Then a MVP Volt and Lat64 River, best control fairway driver setup to date. (I have thrown eagles, teebirds, PD, leopards, escape, vibrams, blah.. list goes on)

Then something ultra warp speed after he works his way up the speed charts.. im LOVING the Trespass
