I was playing a course were they had a dog leg around water. The hole was about 300'; with the basket about 25 feet from the water.I threw a teebird which is on of my favorite discs.I threw it nose down about fifty feet and it hit the water;and then skipped 200 feet over water to land about thirty feet from the basket.TOTAL AWESOMENESS

POST ANY AMAZING SKIPS THAT YOU HAVE HAD.

video or it didn't happen ;)! man I'm gonna try that tomorrow. Nah who am i kidding i have donated 2 discs to the creek in the last two nights.

I don't believe the story because according to your profile you have been playing disc golf for -0.1 years. Which means you haven't started yet therefore that throw never happened. :p

maybe he's in a time warp

My buddy completely screwed up on one of his drives, hit the ground about ten feet in front of him, skipped once, skipped twice, skipped a third time, and it finally landed about 4 feet from the hole. Granted the hole was only like 290'...but it was still awesome.

I have had a pro candy firebird hit water 60 feet from shore and skip three times off water to get me safe. This was during a tourney that actually snowed. Pure luck.

Was throwing a C-PD the other day on Vacation with a 250' dogleg right. Landed on some pinestraw and proceeded to skip about 30' to the basket and land on the pole. Nice birdie 2.

Saw a guy with the worst form and throw I've ever seen skip a forehand off a metal pole that was over a pond and hit the top of the basket only to skip off that and back into the water. It was a relief. Everyone in the group would've been super mad if that guy had gotten an ace with that horrible throw.

I've had so many of my discs skip off of hard dirt into a creek next to the hole, it's ridiculous.

I've heard of such things, although I've never heard of anyone skipping it 200'. I've never heard of anyone playing 16 courses before they start playing either though, so what do I know? Now I want to go to Mississippi and play a round with this guy. Or better yet, get him somewhere better than Mississippi and play a round with him.

I had this happen to me once, at VDC in Scottsdale, on the first hole.
Threw a Destroyer LHFH line drive toward the basket, it flex'd out over the lake then came back, hit the water just short of the grass, but because it hit dead flat, it skipped back up left onto the fairway.

I wouldnt believe it could happen if I didnt see it myself. A 200' skip carry sounds a little like embellishment though.
Video confirmation would be nice, or maybe you could do a powerpoint presentation, with graphs and stuff.

ive had a double skip ace at grey fox in Wisconsin and it was fricken awesome! I ended up winning $94 with ace and playing 5-1 in my group lol

January 2011 I threw low on Stoney Hill #16, hit a chuck of ice floating at least 50' from shore, and skipped off it to the shore and basket.

Not all that special in itself---I've seen plenty of discs skip 30' or more across the water---until you realize that Stoney Hill is in South Carolina, and the extreme rarity of having any ice on the water, let alone a chunk in the middle big enough to skip off.
