2013 Goals

I posted my goals more in depth on my blog which no one reads but in brief:

1. More Fun
2. Work to grow the sport
3. Qualify for Am Nats
4. Raise My Rating 20 Points

I am sure there were some other things but I think that pretty much covers the basics.

Lets see, what goals do I want to achieve this year? I achieved every single one off my list last year so I think I can do it this year.

1.) Renew my PDGA membership so I can have my rating raise to reflect my golf abilities (my rating says 910 but should be a 949 after this last year).
2.) Cash in MPO in a sanctioned tournament (have cashed many times in local non sanctioned)
3.) Stop choking and blowing 6-10 stroke leads during tournaments
4.) Play in the Beaver State Fling
5.) Continue to introduce new people to disc golf
6.) Get my RHFH shot out to 350 consistently and accurately.
7.) Get my putting to be on all the time
8.) Place in the top 5 in the Washington State Series playing MPO
9.) Continue to teach little kids and the elderly how to throw and enjoy disc golf
10.) Get a pay to play course installed on my local ball golf course (they are seriously entertaining the idea at the moment).

1. Play and contend in collegiate nationals
2. Get up to the 1000 rating mark
3. Play 10+ tourneys.

Bring on 2013!

Play in a PDGA sanctioned tourney
Throw at least 1 more ace
Play Flyboy
Make at least 3 DGCR Travel Tag trades
Play at least 104 rounds (average of 2/week)

Not sure what I put for 2012, but it was a slow year for me. I got off to a super slow start. Played more rounds in nov/dec than the other 10 months combined!

On to 2013

1- play in a min of 5 tournaments (at least 1 sanctioned)
2- ACE
3- play a minimum of 6 rounds/month
4- introduce a friend to the sport. (If we each get one person hooked in 2013 then the sport has doubled!)
5- most important, finally figure out what discs I want in the bag so I can become more concistant.

-Join the local club for every tournament or trip I take.
- stabilize/increase my rating through more consistency in tournament play.
- Become a strong putter within the circle. (Currently a good Open player off the tee and mediocre am in the circle)
- Keep having more fun than my competitors.
- Play courses everywhere I travel hopefully.
- See a doctor about my elbow (prohibiting forehands) and learn to play lefty this year for the challenge and utility if the elbow doesn't recover.

-Increase putting percentage
-throw negative rounds at my home course
-travel at more tournaments in my state
-Try to go out more often then 2-3 times a week

3 Goals
CONSISTENCY!!!!!
I had alot of up and down from round to round in 2012. I want to focus on high percentage shots during tournaments and not push the envelope constantly. Keep my focus and maintain the fun.

Win an ADV Tournament any tier.

Place top 3 at one of the 4-5 A-tier Tournaments I plan on playing this year.

Just to play again!!! Been suffering an elbow injury!!!!!! Been like 4 plus months since I have thrown!!!

- win my first tournament (have played a season of Int. and a season of Adv. ... playing Adv. for the next couple of years)

- rework my driving mechanics (not touching the disc on my RHBH with my left hand, bigger hit, cleaner footwork)

- consistent 450' golf D

- incorporate a fan grip for touch/accurate BH approaches and shorter drives

UGA Goals

- place Top 5 as a team at Nationals

- recruit tournament caliber players for UGA's team for next year to replace leaving members

- all A's and B's and at least a 3.5 GPA for the semester

1. Play my 100th course without resorting to elementary school courses to do it.
2. Get my brother to make me a Green Glitter custom golf bag from all that vinyl he has in his workshop.
3. Take my portable baskets out more often and play some safari golf for giggles.
4. Finish up my disc golf music video and release a funky tshirt based on the chorus.
5. Buy an old spooky Scooby Doo esque warehouse in the bad part of Vegas and open an indoor course. Now that I think about it those frosty souls in Minneapolis might appreciate it more.
6. Try and elevate course photos to an art using telephoto lenses.
7. Come up with a catchy phrase for when I hit a birdie.
8. Use the eek smiley at least once per post.
9. As Bill and Ted said: To party on dudes and be excellent to each other.

1. Be able to consistently make putts from 30' and in.
2. Become a better putter in general.
3. Get backhand distance up to 450'-500'
4. Win a tourney in Int.
5. Did I mention improve putting? :wall:

My goal, that i am comfident i can do is to drive 350 consistently both RHFH and RHBH

RHFH✔
RHBH-im at 275'

Hopefully i will grow an extra 2-3 inches this year so that when i hit 16 i will be around 5'10". Also that will hopefully bring the strength and distance I need
