I was looking through some videos on youtube and I found a video about What to do when you find a disc. Please to a look at the video and tell me what you think. IMO if you find a disc with a name and number you should call the number and make an effort to return the disc.

I just want to know what other disc golfers think.

wasnt this same video just up somewhere?

A 7-minute video to tell people to do the right thing? Geez that was painful.

And then he comes up with lame excuses as to why you shouldn't call the number? Weaksauce.

I actually bury the disc for 7 years and come back to it, then dig up the disc, clean it up and sell it as slightly used on the Marketplace :D

If it has name and number, you call back. If the course has a lost and found, you put it in there. I'm not sure why you'd even need to ask these things, to be completely honest.

If none of those things are available, then congrats, you have a new disc.

Don't doubt Karma...she's a cruel mistress.

Yup, and it got moved to the lost disc thread. Where this one is likely to get moved too.

Do people start threads on this because they genuinely don't know the proper etiquette for lost discs or are people just trying to stir things up unnecessarily? I'm leaning toward the latter.

I woke up this morning and thought it had been at least a week since we've had a found disc etiquette thread. Was thinking of starting one myself. Thanks for relieving me of the burden, OP.

CALL and get it returned

That guy in the video is a theif. He's proud of how he draws over peoples names and numbers.

....next thread: "I need a hyzerflip disc" , and "How to throw an anhyzer"

While I agree we should all know what to do by now, I think it is important to get this video out there as the guy conveniently displays his name and PDGA # (which is not active btw) for all to see. Now we know who to look for.

I tried to watch the video, but couldn't due to overwhelming stupidity. Seriously, who feels the need to break out a video camera, film this ****, then spend the time to upload it to YouTube?

On a side note; he sure has some sweet chains from 1996 hanging off his neck. I wonder what the folks at the unemployment office thing of his bling.

Isn't finding a lost disc like a buzzz/roc or like a longer teebird?
It has to be better than a groove

I'm just stupefied that this idiot would actually go to the trouble of making and uploading a video just to let the world know that he steals other people's discs. Of course you call the number. Even if you don't believe in karma, you call the effing number and make an effort. Everyone that posts here knows and does this, so there's no need to make a 'what to do if you find a disc' thread. Call the number. Done.

If anybody knows this dude, tell him how big of an idiot he is. He obviously has no moral character and doesn't care what people think of him, so go ahead and let him know. Comment on the video. This guy is exactly the kind of guy that give disc golfers a bad rep. What a complete a-hole.

lol i was waiting for someone to comment on that... funny it was "Hammer" .. too legit for sure :D

Check out this guy's other videos. It appears that he and his friends are all sharing the same 4 brain cells.

WHAT?. Now let me get this straight. If you FIND a disc, AND, it is not yours, AND, there is a number or address. Return the disc. Hmmmm. I'll have to have some memory trick to remember this.

My wife. Who is very honest (on most things). Found $10 in a hallway at work. She was going to take it but then felt whoever lost it would come back for it, SO, she put it back.

Upon getting back to her desk she realized it was HER $10 bill and went to get it. It was gone.

The REAL crime here was she actually told me about the incident.
