Do any of you guys were sandals for disc? Chacos, tevas, or lunas. On one of the course around here I can play barefoot and like it but the other course is wooded and not good for barefoot. What do you think? Thanks.

I could never play in sandals. I just can't imagine being able to get the same kind of clean rotation that I can get with shoes. Not to mention the potential hazards on wooded courses.

I completely agree. I wouldn't think that sandals would give enough support while throwing.

will never do again. my toes were bloody for weeks. the closed toe types work great tho, especially were it is really hot.

I used to occasionally wear flip flops and kick them off to throw until one day I found myself in the middle of a multi acre sticker patch. Now I wear Fila Skele-toes.

^this. I like the feeling of something substantial on my feet. Nothing less than running shoes for me.

I wear the Keens above and love them with a light pair of ankle socks underneath for courses that don't have a ton of rough and play on mostly grass. They are super comfortable in the summer.

I used to play in the keens pictured above, until I got into some poison ivy. Never did that again, my throw was fine wearing them though.

I became immune to poison ivy over the years. I used to get it so much as a kid I just stopped getting it. I take my 8 year old out, and he wears flip flops all the time. We go out in the woods all time, he never gets it either.

I play in Keen closed-toe sandals most of the year. And my feet have the tan line to prove it.

sandals are meant for the beach. not DG.

i always thought sandals were meant for protecting your feet. never thought that 10000 years ago they were concerned about fasionable beach footwear...i guess we learn something every day. :p

im guessing that 10000 years ago they didnt have much of an option. when you want to protect your feet from hot sand, but be able to take them off quick, sandals are perfect. I am willing to bet if the cavemen could have worn some Vibram soled shoes they would have chosen that over some hippy string looped ****.
