2015 Goals

I'd like to
Improve my putting
Drive 375' consistently
Stop buying new molds
Take money I would've spent on discs and put it back into local clubs/courses

I'd like to think I can go a whole year without screwing with my bag, we'll see if it's possible. If I don't already have it, I won't be throwing it. Hopefully this will really help me learn my current discs well and become more consistent with them.

Ace Winter Layout #18 at Pier Park (302' downhill between tight Douglas Firs) with a Polecat and/or Zephyr.
Stop buying discs (actually, stop buying anything at all for 2015, except food, drink and personal hygiene items).
Keep having fun.

OB brought this thread back up. I'm doing pretty well.

I aced that hole, twice, but not with a lid (cubby skip with an Envy and true ace with a Comet).

I've definitely bought a few discs, but nothing too crazy.

And I've had LOTS of fun. (By way of example, Cincy.)

Not too shabby.

Play more courses!!!
Perhaps get all of the Lower 48 played.
Find DG Girlfriend that plays as much as I do.

OB brought this thread back up.

For the record, I'm the other old guy - the one without a beard. :D

1. - 3. Stay healthy (always my top 3 goals) So far, so good
4. Play at least two new courses out of Iron Hill, Tyler SP, Jordan Creek, Nockamixon, Camp Sankanac, or Walnut Creek. Cincy trip met the spirit of this goal. If fortune smiles I hope to take another road trip this year
5. Make time to play regularly during the week. Hit and miss
6. Pick a distance driver or two and then keep the bag consistent. So far, so good

Not bad, with the year less than half over. My other two goals were tournament-related (play three tournaments, improve rating 15 points). Since getting a new dog, I see playing tournaments as a missed opportunity to ramble through the woods with the mutt. Priorities changed; goals rescinded.

Find, design, and construct a few new holes, in the very gradual process of creating two entirely separate layouts on our course. As we use up the best features and spread to more land, and set (what at least we believe are) high standards, it becomes harder and harder. But we've got some ideas.

Well, only 1 new hole built this spring. Anything else will have to wait, as we're into our modest summer goals of keeping the grass below eye level.

OK, I'll play...
1) reduce the bogies
2) practice forehands & rollers so I know them well enough to trust them more when they're needed in competition
3) pick up another Senior Olympic medal (humble brag: last year Ohio bronze - don't ask how few played ;), this year, opportunities in Ohio and at the National Senior Games), while my dad gets one of his own (he's playing - his first tourney - on his 80th birthday!)
4) play on Saturday at my first and last Am Worlds (shifting to Pro Grandmaster the next week)
5) might as well hope to become a Diamond Trusted reviewer this year (I'll be playing in a couple of hotbeds - Minneapolis and Kalamazoo - and writing a couple dozen more reviews, so...)

Two goals for the year:

Keep improving my PR's at local courses (succeeding so far).

Stop. Buying. Discs. Period. (My "discs purchased" are far behind the 2014 pace, and 2013 was just out of control. Pretty sure I've bought three discs this year. I'm good with that.)

LHBH to 400'
LHFH to 300'
RHFH to 300' cold
Putting to 25'
0 course management errors (already failed this one)
Clean up my OHs
Turbos to 30% at 50'
No 3-putts
90% up-and-down from 150'
Find/build/etc. indoor throwing net

.... and maybe have fun. We'll see.

Out throw my little niece.....

Who is 3. I'd like to think she just has a powerful arm!

Shave 4-5 strokes off my game. Currently throw +9 most days on a par 54 so plenty of room to improve!

Same here AD. I want to shave 3-5 off. I'm stuck at a 57 on a par 54. My bag is also just about there so I want to finish off getting my setup locked in place.
