Simon's Vlog

What's that mean?

It means he's had a comfortable life before disc golf. Not everyone on tour is pinching pennies trying to make ends meet. Some are lucky enough to grow up in a family where they can pursue passions like disc golf and not have to worry about financials. Just because someone on tour is driving a nice car doesn't mean their sponsors are paying them big bucks.

That being said, Cale has busted his behind and runs a great business so he is definitely responsible for his own fate at this point.

A lot of Americans have comfortable lives before they do anything. Are you referring to his parents having money? His uncle being that really good baseball player? His charming smile?

Regardless the Tesla or his family. I think Cale is benefiting financially from disc golf to the extent of 100k a year. Certainly is feasible

Maybe he was told to do this, or it´s in his contract ?

Guessing it's a "let's split any profits" venture. I'm sure they will sell some, I was interested just for the heck of it, but 80.00 is too much for similar information made freely on the internet if you research enough. I might have paid a buck or two per video however.

Haha, Simon showing his worst holes of the year to his boss - too funny.

Jussi sure seems to be enjoying it as well. Nice boss to have.

I've been watching all his Vlog videos. It's hard NOT to root for Simon.

I think it´s a smart thing to do, try to learn from your mistakes

Many or these putts he will go for 100% anyway. . but a few of the things he does in this video may not be the smartest decision

I feel like ALL of those putts he'd go for anyway. That's kind of what makes him fun to watch. If he would play it safe a little more often and play the percentages better, a la "Safeton" he'd finish better IMO. That's not Simon though. It's Boom or bust for him.

Yea, you could see Jussi trying to tell him that he takes too many risks, while at the same time enjoying how he lets stuff roll off his back.

Simon is probably the one disc golfer that would benefit most by having a "professional" caddy. Someone he trusts enough to be able to put the reigns on him in certain situations but also knows enough to let Simon be Simon in others.

Marvin Lewis needs a job, no?

I think all the putts is putts that he should go for. . .or maybe not the ones from that stupid dropzone with water all around the basket.
But a few of his drives OB over water are to much of a risk vs reward type of shot. .

But risky shots makes Simon popular. . . :)

Good video. I've read before where Simon says he does a great job of hiding his true emotions on the course.

Thinking back, it seems he lost most of his strokes by flying 30+ past the basket.
A nose-up, flat-trajectory spin putt has a lot going for it, not the least is that the disc will go far with little effort.
OTOH, you'd better hit something, cause with his nose-up, flat-trajectory spin putt, an 'air-ball' is the same as 'air mail'.

A LOT of those strokes could have been prevented with a less 'glidey' neutral or nose-down spin putt, but then it wouldn't be "Simon doing Simon things" - CCDG
