I ask because I had planned on going to my home course and playing a few rounds but the wind is s @ 29mph so decided to stay home and play Call of Duty where wind is not an issue.

Whats the biggest wind you will play in if you are just having fun?

I definitely practice in 25-30 as long as it is just wind. if it is storming as well I usually opt out. Wind in the 30 + range is just not normal for my area and is usually accompanied by plenty of rain and lightning so, that is when I play COD as well

No other weather conditions a factor, if I can get out there, I would be out there. I mean, we are talking a friendly game right? Why not?

40-50 mph, it was crazy. Ironically work was cancelled due to high winds, which gave me the time to play. Basically you could throw your most stable disc against the wind, it would fly 100 feet and land then bounce 50 more feet in the direction of the wind.

I have found that one of the most rewarding things to do is practice putting. It can be insanely difficult. But also fun in a weird way.

The big upside is that you dont have very far to walk (usually) to pick up your discs. Also you can try some ridiculous stuff that normally would have no practical application.

for instance: had a steady medium headwind coming at me, so I tried throwing nose down loft straddle putts from about 30 or 40 feet. I was tossing them 10-15 feet in the air! I threw at least 40 or 50 from that spot. I think only 2 of them went in, but a TON hit the basket and only a couple ended up more than 10 feet from the basket.

He most I've played in is about 35mph with 50+mph gusts, and I still had fun trying to still get discs to go where I wanted them. Just wind would have to be strong enough to blow me away to keep me home, but windy and stormy weather might keep me home if it's really bad.

I have played in 30mph + gusts...it sucks but it beats flying a kite or watching ants mate.

I was practicing yesterday in the field with a good 25mph+ wind. Not the most fun experience but practice is practice.

Today it was too windy to go kayaking (30mph) so I went discing, frustrating, yes. fun, yes. difficult, yes. I really don't like the wind, but apparently in coastal Texas there is no other choice!

lol, I'm looking forward to getting off work so I can go play Greenbelt in this great wind. Love me some windy disc golf.

30+ my 4th time going out, around ledges that drop 30-40 feet straight down.

ended up skipping quite a few holes

I was planning on going after work today.... I just got home and it's so windy that some huge branches fell out of my trees -- my plans changed! It's gotta be 30mph+ winds with big gusts -- no way I'm goin disc'n putting is too much of a chore in that bad of winds.

On a normal day 20mph is about as much as I'm willing to play in. If I haven't been disc'n in weeks wind won't stop me though

I've played in around 30mph, and I still find a way to have fun. Even when I throw with the edge up into the wind, and it takes it way off line, I still have a laugh and enjoy trying to figure out what I can do to combat the wind.

Uh, I'll play in any sort of wind.

It was so windy yesterday, I decided to keep the discs in the car and get out my camera instead.

I will play in any wind. If you're going to play in tournaments, then it should be in your best interest to know what the wind will do to a disc. I play in tournaments to have fun, so I will practice for whatever the tournament day will throw at me. Its frustrating if you don't know what will happen when you throw, but even more frustrating if your with a group and don't know what's going to happen.
