Just got a 167 Star Kite and i'm in love !!! They call it a mid range but I can throw it farther than my Teebird, valk, or any other driver I have, and its so accurate. I can turn it right, or fade it left, this disc does it all. Does anybody else love this disc as much as I do ? I'm thinking about droping my whole bag and just throwing the Kite, and maybe a Polecat for putt & aproach.

My really flippy midrange of choice is the Skeeter. Hate Kites.

Had a Skeeter, too flippy for me, it was a good putter.

Does not compute. There's no way a Skeeter is more flippy than a Kite, they're at least the same amount of flippyness.

Non-flippy 150g Kite?! I don't understand, but whatever works man! I used to really like mine for turnover shots before I started addressing form issues. It would really hook up on right turns for me. Unfortunately, I pancaked it into a tree :(

The fact that it's a lighter Star make it more stable than the DX, just for reference. Not sure how low you have to go before you get to the "Star Light" plastic that's reputably more stable than heavier Star counterparts (at least form what I've read).

I played through a group at Cedarock once and this guy was discing only with a Kite. When he saw me drive (a semi-accurate 200' run of the mill wooded drive) he was like "man, I wish I could throw like that!" I just thought to myself, well you might could if you didn't use a Kite.

It's probably a good disc for girls and low-powered throwers but I never could throw it. If I want something that floaty and flippy I'll throw a lid like a Polecat or Rattler.

sorry, the 150 was a Skeeter I was talking about. My Kite is a Star 167 and flys really stright.

yes I do throw like a "low-powered girl" lol, maybe thats why it works for me.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with that, I've lost a few rounds to guys that throw like that. ;) You already had me at Polecat

If I were you, I'd just mess around with some putters and become a finesse master if you're not concerned with throwing warp speed drivers like everybody is for some reason.

And if you want a mid like a Kite except way better, get a X Comet.

I tried a Comet once, wasent a X Comet but didnt like it at all. I got a warp speed R-pro Boss, and my Kite went farther, I dont why, but it did. I'm telling ya, this disc was made for me.
