The rout to take off the tee is just over the mound of dirt created by the root system of the fallen tree. You will see it when you walk up to the tee. You will want to have the disc finish with just a little left to right movement after the mound. Too much right or left and you will be in a position with no clear rout to the basket.
Control is more important than distance for most players on this hole. Even seemingly good throws will hit a tree if you go for the basket because of how the rout gets narrow near the basket.
