1) Check sign for basket position. 2) You can see the short basket...but can you reach it? It plays deceptively 'longer' because it's slightly uphill, and the sidewalk and landscaping up beside the 'Nati building is usually played as OB (besides, it's rude to hit somebody's 'house'!). The middle basket position is pretty much on the same line, but longer, while the really long position is deeper, and to the right. Control your putting on the slope-side short basket, or your 2nd putt could be from the woods after the roll-away!

1) Check sign for basket position. 2) One of the more scenic holes in disc golf, this blind tee shot goes over two ridges before the pines, and then around or through to one of three basket positions beyond. Knowing the basket position at the start allows you to choose a more uphill or right side gap line off the tee. You want to avoid the rough downhill to the right, even though the easier tee shot is usually a gently hyzered line (rhbh) over the low side of the first ridge.

This blind shot could use a spotter if you've one to spare in your group. Usually attacked as a stage hole, a decent tee shot hyzers (rhbh) to the bridge or so for the best upshot right along the path to where the basket is usually in position right at the bottom of the stairs to 17. Even though it is somewhat forgiving, getting off to the right on this hole is actually better than getting in the thorny stuff uphill to the left. Finally, a local secret: If you know there's no one right behind you teeing off, trekking back to the bridge and then to the right to the 17th tee is more level (for carts and bad knees). Besides, you might offer to spot for the group behind you before moving on!

The 15th basket is almost always in the middle of the knoll clearing that doglegs to the right down the beautiful slope. There is a hazard off the tee if you get wide to the right and into the rough and trees. Your disc could slip all the way through to the ravine bottom, or get caught up on the way, so keep extra eyes on those shots, if you can.

1) Check sign for basket position (even though you an usually see it). 2) The road left is usually played as OB, and the 15th tee is halfway to the green to the right, and only slightly sheltered by the trees and shrubs, so if you griplock it (rhbh), a loud " 'Fore!" is much appreciated. Personally, my best results here are achieved using my Tern to glide in to the green. Big arms probably don't need that much disc, as the 14th plays just slightly downslope.

If you're a huge bomber off the tee, you might need to know the basket position before you throw, but most of us mere mortals need to just crank a shot out that will drift long and go left to right around the branches of the tree in front. It's OK to get out into the open left, because that will give you the clearer line for your approach shot. The parking area is sometimes in range and is traditionally OB, so try to keep it on the green stuff.

Most of the time, this basket is at the end of the clearing, and slightly down to the right. There is a turnover line (rhbh) straight off the teepad, but throwing out slightly to the right on a fade line is the 'advanced', local route.

1) Check sign for basket position. 2) Doublecheck that, because you won't be seeing the real thing til you top the hill. In the normal (B) position, believe it or not, a tee shot that just clears the log that forms the 'crossbar' of the 'goal post' trees...will get you on just about the correct line. Most folks try to go to the right and fade in (rhbh), but there are a lot of trees to sneak by on that route. Best shot for a righty (if you've got it) is obviously a low, firm, controlled forehand left of the 'goalpost'.

I'm usually happy when they put this basket in the shorter position (slightly right), because I don't have enough 'D' to get all the way up the slope the the normal, longer spot. But have at it, if you got it!

The ace run, regardless of basket position. Most folks are gunning a putter or a slow mid here, and trying to park it just past (or into!) the chains. If you've got too much zip, or depending on the wind, you might blow by to the parking area below, so use caution if folks are parked down there. In fact, a lot of players wait to be sure there's no road traffic coming, either, since motorists tend to get a little miffed if you hit their cars with your sweeping shot.
