Another Redesign, A Much Improved Course
Course is heavily redesigned, so I think it's worth a brand new review.
The new layout fixes the flow issues and confusing backtracks that plagued this track, and adds a lot more intrigue to the old boring holes.
Two pin placements add a lot of variety...

Worth the Trip
Great blend of skill levels, with the front 9 largely "deuce or die" par 3s and the back 9 adding more distance and tight lines.
Signage is fantastic, from the practice basket and built-in putting game all the way through the course. It helps also that the layout is very...
I carry 3 or 4, depending on whether you consider the Nova a putter.
2 K3 Bergs or 2 Electron M Pilots, depending on how i feel. Putting / short upshots only, in case I lose one and so I can wear them evenly.
1 Proton Envy for putter drives and hyzer upshots
1 XT Nova for drives and, well, Nova...

Short, Tight & Technical
Fantastic use of the land available in a fairly crowded multi-use park.
You can leave the distance drivers at home, as the only hole over 300' is (justifiably) a par 4. But you will need to throw every shot in your arsenal here. Hyzers, anhyzers, dead straight shots...

Best in Tuscaloosa
This is one of, if not THE best-designed course I've ever played. Makes full use of an amazing piece of land. Lots of elevation changes, lots of different shot shapes required. Depending on where the pins are placed, you'll need every shot in your arsenal and some distance to...

Good course, if you'll work for it.
Interesting terrain with some truly memorable holes (almost all on the front nine).
Insane variety in tee placements - there are four tees on almost every hole, provided you can find them. White is a must-deuce on every hole, Blue is manageable, Red is very...

Grip and Rip
Extreme variety of holes. Excellent mix of thick woods vs obstacles, technical shots vs bombs.
Well-maintained. Course is in a great area of Nashville and the astounding amount of park acreage used was mowed and kept well.
Multiple tee and basket locations that give holes very...

Beauty and the Beast
Front nine is brilliantly laid out, with good signage for the most part and a wide variety of shots. Makes very good use of the park's walking trail. Back nine is very challenging, but uses some unique terrain and rewards good shots.
Brand new restrooms located behind #1...
Excellent article.
Memorial Park in Paris is my home course and I really love the Central Park course in Murray. I had no idea MSU used to have a DG course though - very interesting.
