Hit it if you need a round
If you can bomb it, play here. Easy to walk -- ball golf course fairways and tee boxes. Few trees/obstacles. If you can throw straight, or with a gentle break, this place is for you. Water holes are easy to navigate -- you really need to mess up to hit water...

Not great but playable
Easily accessible. Quick course. Generally open shots to the basket. 6 of 9 baskets beginner/newbie doable.
1-3, 5-6 played on a grassy hillside, catch an edge and you may have a long ugly roll. 4 not with first 6 holes -- across the street from the aforementioned...

Winter round
Lots of elevation change on holes.
Clean course.
Well maintained tee boxes for gravel style.
Good descriptive markers on each tee box.
Flow of game good -- easy to find next tee box.
Benches at most tee boxes.
Not for the out-of-shape player -- lots of steep uphills.
Poor parking...

Early winter round
Well laid out for the area the course is on. Some of the best signage I have ever seen. Clean course. Lots of benches. 17 of 18 holes are fun to play, the other is just the toughest...lol. Par 56 and I shot a 57 (I am an average player). 800+ rated players may find it...

Hmmmmm
Beginner/intermediate course. Most baskets readily seen from the box. Beautiful area. Courteous locals. 27 holes. Short holes (if you like this).
Short holes -- mids and occasionally a fairway driver is all that is needed. Bad signage to find course from parking lot. Tall shrubbery...
I live in eastern Washington state. All mine are tagged. Have had all dry land losses returned. Water not as much, but they may not have been dredged up -- I think that those that go mucking in the mud, scuba them, or risk rapids, feel that they have "earned" them.
That being said, I had one...

Ft. Nugent DGC
Great signage. Holes 1-13 good looking. Need to use most of your bag.
Still way too much thick underbrush (looking back on reviews from 6 years ago) -- to the point of almost walking out after holes 4, 5, and 6 (didn't get much better, I just resolved to never come back without a...
Crystal Mountain...near Mt. Rainier
Arrrgghh!!! I hate courses on ski runs! The resorts don't mow the runs, the disc flies further than you normally throw, and they disappear in the tall grass! Vibram Lace, white with red marbling....I spent nearly an hour on hole 15 looking after it didn't...
