[Other] The Reptilian Disc Golf Thread

My SSS Wizard is great but doesn't have quite enough grip sometimes. Was thinking of getting one in S or SS but now I want to try some reptilian plastic. Which plastics should I try first? Love the look of the lunar discs but I prefer firm putters. Fossil fuel maybe?

    Noobie Dye Question Thread

That's not the actual disc I'm dyeing, just an example of how I want mine to turn out. I intend to keep the black rim masked to keep it the discs original color. So the rim won't actually be dyed at all. I want this bat pattern to cover all of the yellow area in the pic above but don't want to...

    Noobie Dye Question Thread

Thanks for the quick reply bennet. Here's an example of what i'm trying to do. I want to keep the black part of the rim masked while I dye a pattern on the yellow part. But The pattern I'm using will overlap that black rim. I suppose I could use a compass to draw the circle I need and keep...

    Noobie Dye Question Thread

I'm doing some stencils tomorrow and need some guidance. I want to do a seamless pattern on the top flight plate but don't want the rim to be dyed. Just the inside circle. I've seen discs dyed in this way but I'm not sure about the best way to approach it. Any tips?

Review by CloudKicker_ in course MRAG DGC

4.00 star(s) Awesome open field course. Maps and Lost and Found box at first tee. Tees are generally set under shade of trees. Beautiful land, nice and shady. Fairly easy to navigate. Painted maps for each tee are fairly accurate. Clean and safe. Wooded holes, 6&7 I believe. Their hanging basket for hole...

    Noobie Dye Question Thread

Here are my first disc dyes, maybe others can learn from my mistakes. http://imgur.com/ncRlk2l I had to dye the mako twice. The first design I made was too big and the shaving cream was too thin. So most of my design was lost. I re-dyed the border blue. http://imgur.com/jpC8MHs I used the...

    Noobie Dye Question Thread

Thanks Jeff, I made sure not to push down and let it sit for about 20 hours. The edges were much thinner than the rest of the cream. Im redyeing the border now with a much thicker and shallower bed. Appreciate the response and the advice.

    Noobie Dye Question Thread

http://imgur.com/a/BDHJB My first dye had some problems. I want to find out what went wrong before my next attempt. I used purple blue and yellow idye poly with the shaving cream. Im pretty sure the cream was too thin which allowed the disc to sink too deep into the plate. I also may have...

what disc should i begin with??

I've been playing around 5 months now, thrown maybe a dozen different discs. I've found that the gateway sss wizard and mako3 are both really reliable, consistent discs. A Discraft Buzz was my first disc and I'd recommend it as well. The mako will fly perfectly straight with basically no turn...

I started throwing for the first time this summer with a couple friends and now most of the people I hang with are into the sport. I'm from Mobile, Al. It's hot as hell down here but we have some nicely shaded courses to play and I personally aim for early morning or late evening games. I throw...
