Will Talks about weight shift in a standstill throw around 2:44 The slow mo shots are great for seeing the shift. I too found the one step easier but now I use standstills on any hole I have an approach. So accurate it's silly.
Billy Crump calls this the Quisenberry after that famous side-arm pitcher. Thats what we continue to call the flick with upsidedown disc. Its thrown flat or with a little flex to get more distance before the skip.
My putting didn't improve until I bought a portable basket. Once I got that, I started at 10' and spent 15 minutes at a time just putting one disc, grabbing it out, going to another point on the 10' circle and putting again. Once you can just start to zone out and let your subconscious take...

That thumb change is the HOLY GRAIL of Disc Golf! I cannot thank you enough for posting this thread! I saw it yesterday and tried it out for a bit but it didn't "feel" right. Then again today I tried it with some field work and have totally found the sweet spot.
Here is how...
You know whats helps me stay focussed is having a German shepherd that runs down my practice drives and brings them back. Lol! You could go to the course at an off time and throw two discs from each tee/lie playing best/or worst shot format and just throw a ton of shots while Playing a round.

Hey all!
Just had an Ah-ha moment on thursday while playing a round. It was a small change that is also translatable to my drives and approaches. Ill try to explain this but i think this allows one to find that tendon bounce easily.
So i throw most of my shots RHBH. I Was missing some 20-30'...
My Ah-ha! moment came from taking a longer step into my plant with my lead foot. This allowed me to really feel the slow weight transfer as the initial form of accelleration. From there i just smoothly worked in my normal arm and body movements and was given much more speed and D without more...
