    DGPT Sold to Todd Rainwater

Did not mean to paint Steve as innocent. Just providing context. No doubt he handled communications and feedback from existing partners poorly. The people who left early in the year were not disc golf folks as far as I know. But I could be wrong. You’re wise to have recognized the potential...

    DGPT Sold to Todd Rainwater

Hey Folks, here's a little perspective fwiw. - Most folks know that 'Pro-only' events are generally not profitable endeavors particularly with the added cash requirements for the purse. - The DGPT partnered with TDs to run the events, DGPT brought marketing, live broadcast, course dress...

A professional disc golf tour run by professional disc golfers.

How does a not-for-profit with a mission to ‘grow the sport’ justify competing against commercially viable for-profits with a similar mission? The NT was started at the time by the PDGA when there was no viable commercial path and the player/members prioritized increasing sponsorship to grow...

Feedback on how to organize a Disc Golf fund raiser

Many good points here. One format we found to be successful is a Captain and Crew format working with the local club - assuming you have one nearby. The club can generally run the tournament and provide 'Captains' to the teams. Teams consist of 3-4 players from local companies, church...

2017 Next Generation Disc Golf Top Prize: Car

It's the average of the 2 rated rounds from a single Qualifier. Each entry into the DANCe is a separate entry, not combined. If a player plays in 4 qualifiers and enters each time - they will have 4 separate entries into the DANCe; not one averaging all 4. Hope that helps.

2017 Next Generation Disc Golf Top Prize: Car

Hi Folks, I thought I'd share a little light on the taxes involved. They are part of life and are not unique to the NG tour. There are two components of taxes to consider: First - income tax on the prize value. Any prize of significant value requires the recipient to claim the prize of...
