I went to Charlotte a few weeks ago before Masters and Renny was all bastardized. I am going back this weekend and was wondering if all the baskets are back in Renny Gold positions and if it is playable. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
So, has anyone thrown the gstar and star versions of this disc side by side? I am currently bagging two gstars, and one is starting to turn a little more than it used to. Does the star plastic fly noticeably more overstable?
Definitely use something stable/understable. I guess it is related to the nose up release angle, but throwing an overstable disc uphill just accentuates the fade, whereas an understable disc thrown well up a hill will go much straighter than usual. For example, from the blue tee on hole one...
None of the above? I used to throw Fuses. Haven't thrown either of the other ones mentioned.
I am currently throwing a few different Comets and a Tangent that is seasoning in well. These seem to be taking care of all my stable/understable needs lately.
I was nervous, and this caused me to miss some easy putts in the morning. At the end of the day during the second round I was exhausted. The pacing is much much slower than my normal rate of play. I had to get used to that. Finished six in intermediate my first outing. Sucked ass at my second...
Saturday drive straight on to Buckhorn and play a round from the shorts and longs. If you are still feeling it, hit Middle Creek afterwards. Sunday looks fine imo just hit Kentwood early in the morning. UNC is a great course, but it's at least 40 minutes from Raleigh and would take away a lot...
My Opto is really really straight with a little turn and slight fade now that it has been broken in (this is with 350 feet power). I've been throwing it for about 10 months now, and it is very much my go-to for many situations. That being said, it started out not that beefy. My friend just...
Depending on the line you need, I can get a Comet to go really far. The Warship (VIP) is slightly overstable and can really glide, with the Tursas being its understable counterpart. Both get great distance, but honestly, the fairway drivers are also an option. I sometimes switch my Warship out...
I agree with the Magic call. I have a relatively firm soft one, which currently throws similar to a slightly beat shorter Comet. My beat SS Magic is pretty flippy now. Also, I just bought a Tangent and it is a pretty straight flyer and slightly shorter than my Comets for me.
Gateway Magic. Go with SS if you want to beat it in fast. I carry a SS and an S. Hyzerflip the SS to flat with a right turn at end of flight, or throw flat for a more pronounced turn. The Soft will still try to fight back if thrown with too little spin. They compliment each other well.
I had a Westside King with peeling veneer. Marshall St. replaced it and put me in touch with Lat. 64. Apparently these are defective and were meant to be pulled. My king also flew extremely flippy and nothing like its replacement by the way. So, I would contact the vendor and get a replacement...
