I played this park again yesterday, and there is still a lot of space to play with on the east end of the park. There's a field, more tree-line, and from a glance I would imagine there's room for a hole or two around that pond. It wouldn't swing you back to your car after 9 and 18, but it...
I think that use could be made of the remainder of that field beyond the shared tee/hole at 17. Or maybe a hole or two in the woods that would throw along/across the creek. It's a decent course but the two shared tees (since the expansion to 18 holes) has always bugged me.
When you finish off Bear Creek, head to Esparza's in Grapevine, on Worth, right off of main street. It's a family owned mexican restaurant built out of an old house. It's pretty darn amazing.
I haven't hit much in the Fort Worth area, but here's some highlights on the Dallas side.
Must plays: Coyote & Beaver in Cedar Hill. Harry Myers DGC in Rockwall. Bear Creek in Grapevine. Veteran's Park in Arlington (from what I hear). I'm a big fan of Alex Clark Memorial DGC up in McKinney and...

Excellent course. Well maintained, lots of different shots needed to score well. Tees usually well marked. A few holes tee off directly in front of large, deep creekbeds with fallen trees or water manes as direct bridges. Lots of fun.
To get from hole 12 to 13 you have to exit out to the...

Very fun course!
Well laid out course. Informative signs at tees. Lots of tall trees to provide shade and good obstacles. Several tees back up against creek. Very fun to play, all around.
Some of the holes play a little short.
Large creek winds through course. About 15 feet down in parts with...
I've had some good success with a used Scorpion that I've been bumming from a friend of mine for a while and I was going to buy one of the same new, but it looks like they don't make them anymore.
Does anyone know of a current driver with similar flight characteristics to the Scorpion?

Yeesh
Informative signs, which prove unnecessary since most pins are very close and in plain sight. Teeboxes and pins are new and in good condition.
VERY short and simplistic 9 hole course. Most holes are in the 200-250 foot range, with little to nothing between tee and pin.
Tee box for one...
I wouldn't worry about it so much. If you see a review that doesn't sound right to you, just post one with your thoughts. If someone says a course was a 5 and you think it was a three, then you'll balance out the rating to a 4. They're not wrong, you just disagree with their opinion.
Just say...

It's decent
Well maintained park in nice neighborhood. Clean bathrooms. Easy to find each tee and hole as you go along.
Mostly shorter holes, only hazard to speak of is a drainage ditch that runs through the middle.
Very nondescript course. Wide open, trees are usually singles, holes are...

Fun course
Great front nine that runs alongside the lake. Tees and holes are sometimes on landscaped platforms, which is nice. Next tees are always well marked. Nice balance of dogs left and right.
Back 9 feels a little crammed together near the apartment complex. Maps of each hole could use an...
