I've never heard anyone in person refer to the sport as Frolf. Frisbee Golf, sure. But I've never ventured outside of the central part of West Michigan much for disc golf either.
yea, i just checked it out. Not that good at all. It did get frustrating that 3 of the 4 holes I played around the soccer field, my disc rolled down into charlie's dump. :wall:
I had my cardio in by hole 5.
The lack of any idea for tee pads and directions suck, but maybe in the future...
Best advice I can give is that any disc could be the best for you. Experiment if you will.
I currently use a max weight NukeSS. When I started, I used a Firebird and Valk. I was suggested by people to use a Flick, or SurgeSS but when I tried to use those, I couldn't get a nice accurate shot...
Me and my old group of 4 other guys were out discin' at Lamar in Wyoming, MI. We're on hole #3, that follows the small creek to the pond. Maybe about 8 good sized Oaks, Maple trees.
None of us really payed any attention until it happened, but after the first one of us tees off, we see his...
nice. i'll have to check this out soon. i got a couple i never knew about in area to check as well. Smaller, simple design courses like this one. Jenison is one of them.
 alright, that one made me laugh the most out of the entire thread. I actually carry a couple la crosse balls for tree hangin' discs. and a golden retriever for water.
Hammer seems like a good idea too, until that pic. lol.
Just lost one this weekend. Probably the first in a good couple years. The disc is a Blue Z NukeSS.
I was at the North course of Brewer. (grand rapids, mi)
I was actually on hole 4, where it comes back from hole 3's sharp right turn around insane brush, trees, etc. just a big cluster...
welcome from grand rapids :)
I had been on here as well for a good deal of time, lost my original login info and had to recreate a new account.
Good to see more fellow Michiganders here
Driver: Elite Z NukeSS
Mid: Millenium Quantum QMS (i think that's how it was spelled out, older plastic, but it's my favorite disc i retired years ago after getting my first ace with it)
Putter: R-Pro Rhyno
Couple suggestions from what i've done:
The top part where your chains hang from; You can use a charcoal grill grate. I got one for $8 or so, and it's about 22" in diameter. Real easy to hang chains from. Just use some "S" hooks, and bend them around the grates.
If you don't use that, you...
