Huntsville is nice. Decent music scene, and if you're a player, it's more welcoming than most areas. Nashville is about two hours north, and Birmingham is about an hour south. Lots of courses between the three.
To quote one of my racing buddies, "I'd race the Barbie Pink Kotex-sponsored Vespa if it was a paid full-time ride." Travelling and being on tour is a lot more expensive than most people think, especially when you aren't crashing on friends' couches.

Keep your core warmer. If your core gets cold, the body sends most of the blood there to keep vital organs warm, and less flows to the hands/feet causing them to get colder.

Actually they're basses. A '63 Gibson EB3 that's been my main gigging bass for about ten years, and a '72 Ric 4001 that had the same duties for about 20 years.

Walked up on a fairly large red-tailed hawk munching on a squirrel by the tee of 13 at Two Rivers in Nashville last week. It picked up the squirrel and flew into a tree and watched us play the rest of the round while it finished it's snack.
Having a disc that's "too nice to throw" is kind of like having a guitar that's too nice to play. They stop being what they were intended to be.
